To The Ones That Got Away
"To the Ones That Got Away" was a side project that was created during a three-month trip to Europe.
The initial plan was to photograph and video graffiti from all over the world, showcasing the different ways that people express themselves through art, particularly in foreign languages.
However, the creator decided against carrying a DSLR camera on their travels and instead opted for a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT25, an iPhone 5 (later upgraded to an iPhone 5S), and a GoPro 3.
The goal of the project was to show that beautiful photographs can be taken with basic equipment, and that expensive cameras and lenses are not always necessary.
The book features a variety of creative techniques, such as using polaroid sunglasses as a filter, taking photos through cloth, and experimenting with different angles.
The book is available as a free download on the Apple Book Store for iPhone and iPad. The link to download the book can be found here.
